There are over five hundred people involved in the Society's programs.
These include scholars, public figures, leaders of Jewish communities,
university professors, students, librarians and archivists. Membership
is open for everybody who demonstrates an interest in scholarly
research of the various aspects of the Jewish past in Eastern
Europe.
Any scholar can fully participate in the JHS programs by corresponding
with the Society by mail. The activities of the Society expand
considerably due to the common efforts and generous contribution
of the JHS correspondents.
The Jewish Heritage Society welcomes scholars of Jewish history
to join the activities of the Society by contributing to its research
and publication programs. All forms of contribution are appreciated: research papers,
university syllabi, historical documents and artifacts, personal testimonies, etc. Any
contribution will become available to scholars through the information
network established by the JHS. The Society is open for any kind
of research proposals on Jewish history in Eastern Europe.
